JUNE 7, 2021
"For all, regenerated in Christ, are made kings by the sign of the cross; they are consecrated priests by the oil of the Holy Spirit, so that beyond the special service of our ministry as priests, all spiritual and mature Christians know that they are a royal race and are sharers in the office of the priesthood. For what is more king-like than to find yourself ruler over your body after having surrendered your soul to God? And what is more priestly than to promise the Lord a pure conscience and to offer him in love unblemished victims on the altar of one’s heart?"
— St. Leo the Great

VERSE OF THE DAY "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
MEDITATION OF THE DAY" God never caused the virtues and singular merit of Joseph to shine with greater splendor than when He said to him by the mouth of the angel, 'Take the Child and His mother'; for in them He committed to him His most precious treasures, giving him thus the preference over all the blessed spirits of Heaven; and Joseph received these two sacred persons into his care, to be their protector, their guardian, and defender. If, then, Heaven made Joseph the protector of Jesus and Mary, we may rest assured that he was at the same time made protector and patron of all men."

The Sanctuary Course for Catholics
The Sanctuary Course for Catholics is being presented by the CARE Ministry at St. Mary Church in Uxbridge on
Thursday, July 1 – August 19, 7:00 pm – 8: 30 pm,
in the Parish Hall. This timely mental health video course will explore the intersection of faith and mental illness. This eight-part series is designed to increase awareness, reduce the stigma, and initiate conversation in the faith community regarding mental health. Each topic is presented through a psychological, theological and social aspect. As Catholics, our mission is to love and care for all people through the message of Jesus Christ. According to the National Institute of Health, 1 in 5 people each year will deal with a mental illness with 1 in 17 having a serious illness. Due to the stigma still associated with mental illness, those suffering can be very isolated and suffer alone. How can we as a church support them? This course is designed for those suffering from mental illness, families and friends who support them, pastors and staff, and those who wish to open a dialogue on mental health in their parish. This is not a support group, but St. Mary’s CARE Ministry comprised of mental health and medical professionals will be facilitating the sessions. There is no cost, but registration is required. You may learn more at
or by emailing Diane at
. All are welcome.
