Good Friday Pro-Life Stations of the Cross, WorcesterThrough His Holy Passion, Our Lord united Himself with all the victims of suffering in this life. None suffer more innocently than children in the womb whose lives are taken by abortion. None suffer more deeply than their mothers, who carry such a burden of guilt and shame. On Good Friday we remember all the victims of abortion - the children lost, the mothers wounded, the communities blighted - in a solemn, prayer service where we will pray the Pro-Life Stations of the Cross, the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet: It will take place on Good Friday, April 2 at Noon outside Planned Parenthood, 470 Pleasant St., Worcester
For more info, call Julie at 508-320-2965. Please join us as we pray for healing for the victims of abortion and for a final end to this evil and injustice in our land.
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians,
and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month.
Amen.
MEDITATION OF THE DAY "He does not come down from Heaven each day to stay in the gold ciborium. He comes down to find another Heaven He cherishes infinitely more than the first, the Heaven of our souls, made in His image, living temples of the Most Blessed Trinity!"
— St. Therese of Lisieux
VERSE OF THE DAY "The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his commandments. Whoever says, "I know him," but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. This is the way we may know that we are in union with him: whoever claims to abide in him ought to live [just] as he lived."
1 John 2:3-6
The Church traditionally dedicates the month of March to the special veneration of St. Joseph, whose feast day is March 19th. "He was chosen by the eternal Father as the trustworthy guardian and protector of his greatest treasures, namely, his divine Son and Mary, Joseph’s wife," says St. Bernardine of Siena. "He carried out this vocation with complete fidelity until at last God called him, saying 'Good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.'" Due to St. Joseph's leadership of the Holy Family, he has been declared the protector and patron of the universal Catholic Church.
Devotion is a certain act of the will by which man gives himself promptly to divine service.” — St. Thomas Aquinas
